Three high-level meetings of the Center in 3 days

To deal with the corona pandemic, the central government held 3 high-level meetings in 3 days. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya held a meeting with state health ministers on Friday. He insisted on adopting the 3Ts strategy, which is testing, monitoring and treatment.

Currently, 5 thousand deaths are occurring in China every day due to the BF.7 sub-variant of the coronavirus. This variant arrived in India in September. There are only 4 cases in the country. Out of these 3 cases are in Gujarat and 1 case is in Odisha. These patients are healthy without symptoms.

On December 27, the drill will take place in hospitals

Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on December 27 has asked the states to conduct health facility drills in hospitals. In particular, he warned states about oxygen plants and ventilators. It is significant that in 2020-21 there was a great shortage of these two things. In this situation, the central government wants to strengthen these arrangements.

The current situation of Corona in the country

In September, an average of 5,000 to 7,000 coronavirus cases were reported in India every day, but that number has now dropped to an average of 150 a day. Of these, 78 percent new cases are being found in six states (51 cases in Kerala, 20 in Maharashtra, 16 in Karnataka, 11 in Odisha, 10-10 in Delhi-Rajasthan). Active patients have also dropped to 3,380. They are just 0.01 percent of all patients.

Focus on genome sequencing

The Center has directed state governments to conduct genome sequencing of corona positive cases. Almost all state governments are sending samples of corona positive cases for genome sequencing. Through genome sequencing, it will be verified how many new variants of the coronavirus exist in the country.

IMA said: no lock required

Dr Anil Goyal of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) said on Thursday that there would be no lockdown in India. According to the IMA, the immunity of Indian citizens is stronger than that of China. 95% of India’s population has developed immunity against corona, so there will be no lockdown in the country.
