HYDERABAD, DECEMBER 21, 2022 (GPN): Ahead of the festive season, India’s largest chain of dialysis centers, NephroPlus, turned Santa Secret to give vulnerable school children in Telangana something to look forward to. The organization launched a philanthropic initiative, ‘Amrut Aahar’, in collaboration with Hyderabad-based Jagathi Foundation, to provide weekly breakfast service to over 350 children studying at Madinaguda High School till April 2023. The activity is part of the brand’s social initiative to celebrate 13 years of its successful career in the health sector.

Through this initiative, NephroPlus wants to give support to schools that have little financial support. The children in this school are from families below the poverty line and often do not have adequate nutrition through daily meals. NephroPlus will provide children with a nutritious breakfast, which will improve their nutritional status and improve attendance at classes.

Addressing the audience at the event, Mr. Vikram Vuppala, Founder & CEO, NephroPlus. he said“To be educated, one must be fed, to be well read, one must be well fed. Children who do not get enough nutritious food to eat on a regular basis have significantly greater behavioral, emotional and educational problems. Therefore, the simple act of providing children with a healthy breakfast at school can have a dramatic impact on their academic performance, health and economic future. We thank the Jagathi Foundation for establishing this partnership with the school and bringing the necessary initiative. In addition, this day marks the 13th year of our successful career in the health industry, and we are excited to start the next year with a social intervention to promote proper nutrition among children prone to malnutrition.

Commenting on the collaborative initiative Durga Kalyani, Founder and President, Jagathi Foundation he said “We are grateful to partner with a renowned healthcare company like NephoPlus for a great cause. The collaboration was driven by the excellent work done by the brand as part of its corporate social responsibility, supported by Abou Baker (Vice President), Rama Chandra (Joint Secretary) and the entire team. India has been serving for decades fighting malnutrition, and only through such social initiatives will we alleviate it and create a greater sense of food security for children in India. Jagathi Foundation plans to expand the ‘Amrut Aahar’ program in Telangana and AP.”
