Ini Utharam, a thriller film starring actress Aparna Balamurali and directed by Sudheesh Ramachandran, released on October 7 this year. The film is gearing up for an OTT release, which is expected to release on December 23 and run till the end of the month. The film will be available on digital platform Zee5.
Ranjith Unni wrote the screenplay for ‘Ini Utharam’ directed by Sudheesh Ramachandran. The main character of the film was a girl named Janaki, who is caught in a fraud case and decides to protest. The story is based on Dr. Janaki, played by Aparna, who confesses to the police to have killed someone. However, the police ignore it. Due to pressure from the media and local people, the police are forced to check all possibilities. The story unfolds with the police discovering two bodies, neither of which Janaki claims to have killed. The film did not do well at the Kerala box office, despite its engrossing plot and brilliant performances.

Famous music composer Hesham Abdul Wahab composed the music. He is known for his film Hridayam directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan. Vinaya wrote the lyrics. The technical team also includes cinematographer Ravichandran and editor Jithin D.
Apart from Aparna Balamural, other performers who played important roles in “Ini Utharam” were Bhagyaraj, Chandhunadh, Jayan Cherthala, Jaffer Idukki, Shaju KS and Siddharth Menon. Aparna Balamurali, on the other hand, was last seen in ‘Nitham Oru Vaanam’ directed by R Karthik and Ra Karthik. ‘Thankam’, ‘Ula’, ‘Padmini’ and ‘Dhoomam’ are some of the projects she is eagerly waiting for.
