APPSC notification to fill 1,180 posts next month

Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) will release notification in August to fill 1,180 vacant posts. It will establish 10% reservation for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) in recruitments.

In a press conference here on Friday, APPSC member S. Salam Babu said that preliminary examinations had been done away with in all recruitments, except Group-I.

He said that out of the 32 notifications made by the commission in the past, the recruitment of 30 of them had been completed.

Cases related to recruitment for Group I services and faculty posts in Government Polytechnic Universities were pending in courts. He said that the changes caused in the written test and the interviews are taking measures to avoid any disagreements.

It was also decided to reduce the time between the release of the notification and the process of conducting the exams and declaring the result.

He said that it was decided to conduct the examinations within three months of the publication of the notification and announce the result at the earliest, unlike in the past when the entire exercise took almost a year and a half.

New messages

Referring to the vacancies to be filled, he said that some new posts had been created, including Forest Beat Officer, Assistant Beat Officer and Assistant Engineer.

Notifications would also be released for: Junior Assistant, Executive Officer in Endowment Department, Horticultural Officer, Parliamentary Telugu Reporter and Medical Officer in Health Department.
