Avatar 2 Box Office Collection Day 8: The Way of Water crosses Rs 200 Cr mark, remains unfazed by Ranveer Singh’s Cirkus

Avatar 2 Box Office Collection: James Cameron’s film was expected to do wonders at the box office and it is proving to be so. The film has reportedly crossed the 200cr mark on the eighth day of its release at the Indian box office. The film has no qualms with the new Bollywood film Cirkus starring Ranveer Singh. In fact, if early reports are to be believed, Avatar: The Way of Water had more coming up than Circus.

It’s been eight days since James Cameron’s ‘Avatar 2’ was released. The film is doing well at the box office. After an amazing first three days, the graphic collection of ‘Avatar 2’ has dropped on weekdays. Talking about the collection in seven days, the film has made a business of 193.6 crores in the first week. As per the opening figures, the film earned 13.25 crores on its second Friday, after which the total earnings of this film has increased to 206.85 crores.

“Avatar” followed Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), a paraplegic marine who becomes an unlikely champion for the Na’vi, 10-foot-tall, wise blue-skinned humanoids in their fight for survival. The film, which also starred Zoe Saldana, Stephen Lang and Sigourney Weaver, was a huge success, becoming Cameron’s second film after “Titanic” to gross more than $2 billion at the box office. He is currently the highest-grossing titleholder of all time.

In the sequel to “Avatar: The Way of Water,” which opened in theaters Friday, Worthington’s Sully and Saldana’s Neytiri do whatever they can to keep their family together.
