VIJAYAWADA: Chaitanya Ratham, which was the name of founder of NT Rama Rao’s TDP, has now become an e-paper to bring Telugu Desam activities to the party cadres. According to sources, the e-paper is now being distributed to more than 30 lakh TDP members. There are plans to bring out the printed version of Chaitanya Ratham before the upcoming Assembly elections.

As alleged by the YSRC government that TDP is said to be enjoying the support of various media outlets, the party leadership has decided to bring out its own newspaper to bring out the party programs close to the cadres. Although the e-paper was launched in January 2022, it was recently updated. Efforts are being made to innovate further by adding more features, such as allowing readers to get news-related videos at the click of a button in the e-paper. Moreover, the party leadership has also decided to print the newspaper and make it available in every nook and corner of the State before the elections.

Speaking to TNIE, a TDP leader said that Chaitanya Ratham’s e-paper will serve as an effective medium to expose the wrongdoings of the YSRC government from the grassroots to the State level. With just one click, the e-paper reaches all the party members now every morning and the launch of the physical paper will come in very handy to bring the party programs closer to the TDP cadres. “We plan to increase the number of Chaitanya Ratham pages from 4 to more than 12 and bring it out in broadsheet format. We expect a subscription of less than one lakh,” he said.

Apart from the main page, the e-paper has a page for North Coastal Andhra, Godavari districts, Amaravati, South Andhra and Rayalaseema to publicize the party activities and press conferences of TDP leaders. There are also some pages that cover important state programs.
