The IMD has predicted widespread rain over Tamil Nadu from December 19 onwards

Rain is expected in Tamil Nadu from Monday, according to the regional office of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Heavy rain is expected in Ramanathapuram, Nagapattinam, Cuddalore and Pudukottai districts of the state.

On Wednesday, the meteorological service also predicted heavy to very heavy rains in Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Tiruvarur, Kallakurichi and Thanjavur districts.
