10. North on radar, South under control

Kannada film producers Vijay Kiragandur and Chaluve Gowda seem like magicians if there is magic in films. The production team produced blockbuster hits KGF: Chapter 2 and Kantara in a year where most of the films ended disastrously at the box office. Hombale Films has a great year ahead in 2023 with the Prabhas-starrer action film Salaar. “We want to create films about India. Hence, Salaar was announced as an Indian film rather than a Telugu one. Almost 85% of the shooting is over. Next month, the sequel alone is to be shot at Hyderabad’s Ramoji Film City. It is expected to be our biggest film to date. Since Baahubali, Prabhas has not been seen in the same way, Kiragandur said. The film will also release in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam and also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shruti Haasan.
