The Sikh community in the city will celebrate the 553rd birth anniversary of the Sikh religion and the first guru Guru Nanak across the State from November 4-8.
On the occasion of the celebrations, the Prabandhak Committees of Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Guru Nanak Marg, Ashok Bazar, Afzalgunj and Gurudwara Saheb-Secunderabad have come together to make the program a success.
In this context, Gurudwara Saheb Secunderabad will take out two Nagar Keertans (holy processions) on November 4 at 4 pm and another at Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Guru Nanak Marg, Ashok Bazar, Afzalgunj on November 5 at 4 pm.
On the Prakash Utsav day of November 8, a congregational mass will be held at the Nampally Exhibition Ground from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Sharing details here on Wednesday, Prabhandak Committee president S. Baldev Singh Bagga, S. Kuldip Singh Bagga and general secretaries S. Inderjeet Singh Tuteja and S. Jagmohan Singh said thousands of devotees from across the State will participate in the procession. The Guru Granth Saheb (Holy Scripture of the Sikhs) is carried in a decorated vehicle along with Nishaan Sahebans (religious flags) during the procession.
