The flock of sheep is surrounded for 12 days by the strange network members

Hyderabad: Trust the netizens to see the Doomsday conspiracy in even the most trivial event around the world. A short video of a herd of sheep walking in clockwise circles for 12 days in Inner Mongolia not only made many netizens laugh, but also brought out some very deep conspiracy theories.

Some users went ahead and said the apocalypse was near and started discussing how this was a sign of the creatures. Others who considered themselves animal experts said it was something ants did too and the phenomenon was called the ant mill. In this situation, the animals get lost or don’t know where to go or lose track of their colony, so they follow each other in circles over and over until they die of exhaustion. Another said the herd could be affected by Listeriosis, a condition that causes inflammation of a part of the brain.

One user tweeted: “It might be because they’re sheep, and following is what they do.” Another pointed out that it is a defense mechanism used by sheep to ward off predators.

“Immediate intervention is needed, they do it when they feel threatened, and spinning at high speed makes it difficult for a predator to pick a target,” wrote one user. Another mocked the remote location, tweeting: “That’s all there is to do in Mongolia. Mongolian inner circle step”.
