Hyderabad: IT Raids At TRS Minister Malla Reddy and Kin’s Properties, Including Educational Institutions 


HYDERABAD: In a shock to Telangana Labor and Employment Minister Ch Malla Reddy, Income Tax investigation officials from Delhi and Hyderabad on Tuesday morning searched his properties and those of his family members in connection with alleged tax evasion and assets beyond known sources. income This is the second time the computer raids have been conducted on a Telangana minister, after the Enforcement Directorate and Income Tax sleuths raided the home and offices of Backward Classes Welfare, Food and Civil Supplies Gangula Kamalakar.

The IT teams conducted simultaneous searches at the premises of TRS minister, his son Mahender Reddy, son-in-law Marri Rajasekhar Reddy, brother Malla Reddy and other relatives in Hyderabad and Medchal Malkajgiri constituencies.

About 50 teams from the IT department started the search, which also carried out the Kompally villas in Palm Meadows. The minister was there during the searches that began at 05:45 on Tuesday morning

Officials are also searching the residences and offices of Malla Reddy’s elder son Mahendra Reddy and son-in-law Rajasehkar Reddy, who are also probing the affairs of educational institutions and real estate businesses.

Malla Reddy’s wife Ch Kalapana Reddy is the Vice President of CMR Educational Society, Malla Reddy Educational Society, Chandramma Educational Society, St Martin’s Educational Society. He is the president of C Malla Reddy Educational Society and MGR Educational Society, of which his son and son-in-law are a part. Computer experts seized his phone and are searching his house. IT officials are checking the revenue records of organizations run by the Malla Reddy Group following allegations of tax evasion.

The search is likely to continue through Tuesday.

Attacks on homes and educational institutions of TRS Minister Malla Reddy and his family members in and around Hyderabad

The cyber attacks come at a time when the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has intensified its probe into the MLA poaching case allegedly involving leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from Hyderabad and the Centre.

After the Poachgate incident, ED and IT cops conducted raids on Chief Minister Gangula Kamalakar’s residence in Karimnagar on November 9. Joint searches were also conducted at the properties of Kamalakar’s relatives at 20 locations in Hyderabad and Karimnagar in connection with alleged tax evasion and FEMA violation related to the scam related to granite companies owned by the minister.
