IMD predicts rainfall on Christmas Day in these places


Several parts of southern Tamil Nadu are likely to experience rain activity with the possibility of heavy rainfall on Christmas Day on December 25.

Wind warning

Southwest Bengal along Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka coasts: Wind speed 45-55 km/h gusting to 65 km/h is likely to prevail till the morning of December 25, 40-50 km/h 60 km/h. 60 km/h will be reduced until the morning of the 26th and then reduced.

Adjacent areas of South East and West Central Bengal: Bad weather with wind speed of 40-50 kmph gusting to 60 kmph is likely to prevail till December 24 and decrease thereafter.

Gulf of Mannar and Comorin area along southern Tamil Nadu and west coasts of Sri Lanka: Fair weather with wind speed of 40-50 km/h gusting to 60 km/h, likely to become light on December 24, 45 -55 km/h in gusts. 65 km/h on December 25 and 26.
