N. Lakshmi Parvathi, president of the Telugu Academy and wife of former Chief Minister NT Rama Rao has clarified that the decision to rename NTR College of Health Sciences to YSR College of Health Sciences is not out of jealousy or revenge against NTR. .
“If I am given a choice whether to name a historical district like Krishna after NTR or after a University, I will choose the former. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has shown his magnanimity by naming Krishna district as NTR District and I don’t find it wrong to name the University as YSR Doctoral University of Health Sciences In fact, NTR Jr., the popular film star gave a wonderful statement on this issue, showing his maturity,” Ms. Lakshmi Parvathi said in a media conference. “NTR was killed by Mr Chandrababu Naidu and his media barons. NTR often said that Mr. Naidu would turn his back on him any day. Would Mr. Naidu get two seats if I had power in the party? The ETV channel was launched as part of the conspiracy to oust NTR. TDP MLAs believed that most MLAs supported NTR.
“The media projected the illegal episode in which Mr. Naidu took over the party by force as a ‘transition of power’ and portrayed Nadendla Bhaskara Rao as the villain. How is it justified?
