Maha BJP MLA’s accident: NCP chief Sharad Pawar advises against travelling at night


Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar on Saturday, after an accident of BJP MLA in Satara, said that traveling at night should be avoided.

By India Today Web Desk: Following an accident of BJP MLA Jaykumar Gore, National Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar on Saturday said politicians should try to avoid traveling at night.

The head of the NCP said that even if a situation arises when it is necessary to travel at night, in that case one should be very careful.

Satarak BJP MLA Jaykumar Gore, including his bodyguard and driver, sustained an injury after his vehicle went off a bridge in Phaltan early morning. According to the doctors, the MLA had a small bruise on his chest.

“Night trips should be avoided. But I myself do not follow the same. People in my house always talk about night travel, but in politics you can’t avoid meeting people. I will advise utmost care while travelling,” NCP chief Sharad Pawar was quoted as saying by news agency PTI.

Pawar was speaking during his visit to the 14th edition of ‘Bhimthadi Jatra’ in Pune, a grassroots event aimed at empowering women, PTI reported.
