New Delhi: Amid the rising number of COVID-19 cases in China, the Indian government has started taking precautionary measures to combat the spread of COVID in the country. As mentioned earlier, the Center may not make masks mandatory, but it has activated the health machinery to deal with emergency situations. On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reviewed the country’s COVID-19 situation and called for increased testing and asked people to wear masks.

According to the Union Health Ministry, India has reported 163 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. Nine deaths were reported across India at the same time. 176 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours taking the cumulative count to 4,41,42,608. The number of active cases in the country fell to 3380. The recovery rate in India is 98.80 percent.

Kerala COVID news today

Of the nine deaths reported across the country, six were in Kerala. Kerala has the highest number of COVID-19 cases in the country at 1418.

Maharashtra COVID news today

Maharashtra has reported two deaths from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. Maharashtra has issued a COVID-19 alert on Thursday. The state administration has asked people to wear masks, although masks have not been made mandatory in the state. All international travelers will be required to undergo a thermal screening. Currently, Maharashtra has 134 active cases. In the last 24 hours, 19 people have been discharged.

Delhi COVID news today

Delhi has reported one death related to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. The state administration reviewed the preparedness for COVID-19 in the national capital. According to the Health Ministry website, Delhi has 32 active cases. Five cases were reported in the last 24 hours, although four were discharged

Karnataka COVID news today

Karnataka has 1261 active cases of COVID-19. In Karnataka, 18 people were discharged in the last 24 hours.

Goa COVID numbers, Goa COVID news today

Goa, a popular tourist destination, especially for New Year celebrations, has 12 active cases of COVID-19. One person was discharged today. Goa’s COVID-19 death toll is zero today (last 24 hours).

Goa COVID-19 advisory: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant reviewed the COVID-19 preparedness in the coastal state. “After the rise in the number of cases of COVID-19 in several countries, we are asking people follow proper behaviorincluding wearing masks and getting vaccinated against the virus,” state Health Minister Vishwajit Rane said.

Gujarat COVID-19 news today

Gujarat has 27 active cases of COVID-19, according to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Four more cases have been reported in Gujarat in the last 24 hours. In Gujarat, two COVID-19 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours.

Uttarakhand COVID-19 news today

Uttarakhand has 28 active cases. The number of COVID-19 cases in Uttarakhand decreased by 3 as three patients were discharged in the last 24 hours.

West Bengal COVID-19 news today

West Bengal has 46 cases of COVID-19. The state registered six more cases on Thursday, even as West Bengal reported three cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.
