MG university assistant dismissed from service for taking bribe to correct mark list – KERALA – GENERAL

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: MG University Section Assistant CJ Elsy has been removed from service. The dismissal order was issued by the Vice-Chancellor of the Pro following the union’s decision. Vigilance arrested Elsy after taking a bribe from a student in connection with the distribution of the mark sheet. After that, Elsy was suspended. A union committee was appointed to investigate. He was dismissed based on the committee’s report.

It has been reported that there has been serious misconduct, abuse of power, serious irregularities and misconduct on the part of Elsy. Elsy was caught by Vigilance taking Rs 15,000 as a bribe from a student to provide the mark sheet and provisional certificate.

While checking his account, Vigilance found that he had taken bribes from many people through Google Pay. Investigations by the university board also revealed that the marks of two students in the third semester MBA mercy optional examination were falsified.
