Microsoft Teams Premium now in preview, involves AI powered feature


Microsoft announced on December 16 a preview of Microsoft Team premium, powered by AI, which offers live translations, intelligent meeting summaries and meeting security with end-to-end encryption.

Microsoft Teams Premium is now in preview, bringing AI functionality

Author: Nidhi Bhardwaj: Microsoft announced on December 16 a preview of the Microsoft Team premium feature, powered by AI, which is now available to commercial customers. The tech giant announced in October at the Ignite 2022 event that it will be in December.

“Today, we’re pleased to announce that we’re making Microsoft Teams Premium available as a limited preview for our commercial customers through the Microsoft 365 admin center,” the company said in a blog post.

Why do its previews excite users?

The newly launched AI-enabled Microsoft Teams offers a free 30-day preview, including customization, AI functionality and security options for the base version of Microsoft’s video conferencing platform.

Additionally, this preview highlights meetings that ensure security with live translations, smart meeting summaries, and end-to-end encryption.

Teams Premium supports advanced webinar capabilities with a custom logo, manual approvals, registration waitlist, registration date and time limit, presenter bio and virtual green room, the company said in a blog post.

“In B2C environments, Teams Premium helps customers manage advanced virtual appointments through SMS notifications, branded lobbies, scheduled and on-demand appointment queues and analytics,” the report stated.

To try a free trial of 25 licenses for 30 days, go to the Microsoft 365 admin center and go to Purchase services. Select Teams Premium under Collaboration and Communication.

The aforementioned summary meetings and the brand of personalized meetings will be extended until January of next year. The new offering will be available in February 2023 and will cost $10 per user per month, according to the company.
