Mining baron Gaali Janardhana Reddy’s son chooses cinema over politics


Bengaluru, December 20 (IANS): Bellary mining baron and former Karnataka minister Gaali Janardhana Reddy’s son Kireeti is all set to announce his entry into the film industry with the release of an upcoming bilingual film.

The movie is being made in Kannada and Telugu on a grand scale. According to sources, Janardhana Reddy has assured that no effort will be spared to make it a success. He also revealed the name of the film, ‘Junior’.

Speaking to the media, Kireeti said he chose cinema over politics. He added that 80 percent of the film has been shot and the rest of the schedule will be completed in Mysuru and Bengaluru. “My son wants to pursue his career in the field of cinema,” said Reddy.

Director SS Rajamouli hit the hat for the first shot of the Kannada-Telugu film. Devi Sri Prasad, known for ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, is the music composer, Peter Hein is the stunt coordinator and KK Senthil Kumar of ‘RRR’ fame is handling the cameras. The film is written and directed by Radha Krishna.
