
More rain is likely in Tamil Nadu today
According to the forecast by the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre, “Moderate rain is likely at isolated places over Truvallur, Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kanchipuram, Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam, Thanjavur and Thiruvarur districts of Tamil Nadu and Karaikal on the next 11.3 hours.”

Wind speeds of 45-55 km/h gusting to 65 km/h are likely to prevail until the morning of December 25, with 40-50 km/h gusting to 60 km/h until the morning of the 26th. after that it will go down. The sea condition is likely to be rough to very rough till the morning of December 26 and the IMD warned fishermen not to venture into the sea.
Since October 1, Tamil Nadu has recorded 425.1 mm, which is 2% below normal and Chennai has recorded 884.7 mm, 12% above normal.
