Terming the BJP’s victory in the recent Gujarat elections as “historic”, Governor Acharya Devvrat on Tuesday said it is proof of people’s support and love for “his leadership”.
Addressing the first session of the 15th Gujarat Assembly, the governor said in his 10-minute speech in Hindi, “On the great festival of democracy, the people of Gujarat have given a historic verdict… the people of Gujarat have once again expressed their faith. my government… putting the stamp of approval on it to fame to the awesomeness and acceptance of the service of the people…”
“Under this mandate, my government’s work and vision to take Gujarat to the highest level of development has received the support of the people. On this occasion, I congratulate the people of Gujarat, all the members (of the Assembly) and the able leader of our government – minister mrudu evam dridhh (soft and firm) the main,” added the Governor.
“Clear policies and intentions always get the support of the people,” said the Governor, “In these elections, the people of Gujarat have proved that they have a unique contribution to India’s development by working hard for systematic and inclusive development, peace and security and prosperity. Despite various obstacles, the people of Gujarat he has shown unwavering confidence in my government while rejecting these obstacles to democracy.
The Governor also said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, his government is committed to take Gujarat to new heights, following the path of development blazed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Governor also remembered leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Ravishankar Maharaj and Indulal Yagnik.
