Redmi India’s Twitter account has been very busy talking about the upcoming Redmi Note 12 Pro and Redmi Note 12 Pro+. Both, it was confirmed yesterday, will launch in India on January 5. But there’s also an entry-level model, which was announced alongside those two in China in October.
We are talking about the Redmi Note 12, of course, and until now it was not clear whether it would make the journey from China to India together with its siblings. The good news is that it will. And while you may not have much time on Twitter, Redmi has created an entire teaser microsite for the India launch, which you can access here.
It focuses on some key features of the upcoming device, chief among which is 5G support. The AMOLED display also gets a shout-out, including a hint that it will be brighter than what we’ve seen on previous non-Pro Redmi Note devices. A Snapdragon chipset is also teased, along with 33W wired charging support and a triple rear camera setup with a 48MP sensor. Last but certainly not least, did you know that this will be the slimmest Redmi Note ever?
Spoiler alert though – the Redmi Note 12 is already official in China. So, while it looks like Redmi India will be announcing a completely new device, it looks like it will be the same model this time around. And if so, we can spoil the rest of the specs right here. Ready?
