Darsi (Prakasam dist): Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has shown his generosity by reaching out to the mother of a thalassemia patient and assuring financial assistance from the AP Government.
He also ordered the District Collector to initiate the process of providing medical assistance to the mother.
During her visit for the wedding reception on Tuesday, Sanvika’s eight-year-old mother Nishitha Kumari told the chief minister that her daughter needs blood transfusion twice a month, which costs over Rs 12,000 and around Rs 30 lakh for bone marrow treatment. .
She also said that her husband had left her and was working as a veterinary assistant and could not afford the expenses.
Responding to her request, the Chief Minister interacted specifically with Sanvika and asked her family members to be brave and ensure that she would get the necessary medical help.
