Sam Curran Goes To Punjab Kings For Record price


Sam Curran becomes the most expensive player in IPL history. Punjab Kings paid INR 18.50 crore for the whole. He broke South African Chris Morris, who was bought by Rajasthan Royals in the IPL mini-auction for Rs 16.25 crore.

Sam Curran was picked up by Punjab Kings in the IPL 2019 pre-season auctions for Rs 7.2 crore before being released ahead of the 2020 season. He was eventually sold to Chennai Super Kings for Rs. 5.5 million

Sam Curran was named Australia’s man of the tournament at the recently concluded 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia. Curran made his IPL debut for Punjab Kings before being picked by Chennai Super Kings.

Sam Curran has a solid record with the ball in the IPL, picking up 32 wickets in as many outings, including a four-fer. While he has played some crucial knocks for the Yellow Army, which saw CSK rise to the third position on several occasions, he has so far scored 995 runs in 32 matches.
