Sircilla: The abduction of a woman by a gang of four in Telangana’s Rajanna Sircilla district on Tuesday morning ended happily, with the girl releasing a video of her safe and married!
The abduction incident in Moodepalle village of Chandurthi mandal in the district where the 18-year-old woman was going to the temple with her father was caught on CCTV camera. A man was seen forcibly taking the woman away in a car. The news and video of the abduction went viral across the media and Sircilla BRS MLA and Minister KT Rama Rao also came to know about the incident and spoke to District SP Rahul Hegde and inquired about the incident. He directed the SP to take strict action against the kidnappers.
But now with the video released by the girl it is clear that there was no reason to worry. The Sircilla police registered a case based on her father’s complaint and formed special teams to nab the accused and rescue the girl.
A few hours after her abduction, the girl released a video that she was safe. In the video provided by local TV channels, the girl identified as Shalini is seen in a wedding sari along with a man who said her husband was Jnaneshwar. He declared that he was safe and that he had not been kidnapped and that he willingly went with him. He married her in an unknown place. Moreover, his parents complained that there was a threat to his life.

The girl who was engaged a few days ago was to be married by her parents. Shalini said that she had eloped last year and married Jnaneshwar, but it was annulled as she was underage and Jnaneshwar was sent to jail for a year. He was advised by the police and handed over to his parents. The man was released from prison and found out that the woman’s marriage had been fixed with another person. It seems they hatched a plan with friends to fake the kidnapping and get married somewhere else.
