The Telangana government has issued an administrative sanction of Rs 69.52 crore for procurement and distribution of Adolescent Health Kits to girl students studying in government schools and colleges.
The kits, comprising a zip-lock bag, sanitary napkin and water bottle, will be provided to girl students studying in government schools and government schools under the adolescent health program in 8th secondary secondary (12th standard).
This expenditure will be paid from the NHM (National Health Mission) funds, the government said in an order dated November 16, adding that the Commissioner for Health and Family Welfare and the Director of the Mission (NHM) will take necessary action.
