Telangana: Khaki shirts distributed to 200 auto drivers in Khama

Khaki shirts were distributed to around 200 auto-rickshaw drivers at Yerrupalem in Khammam district under the aegis of Nama Muthaiah Memorial Trust.

Khammam: Khaki shirts were distributed to around 200 auto-rickshaw drivers at Yerrupalem mandal headquarters in the district under the aegis of Nama Muthaiah Memorial Trust.

District Rythu Bandhu Samithi Nallamala Venkateshwar Rao and former AMC president Chava Ramakrishna handed over T-shirts to the drivers at a program on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, Venkateshwar Rao stated that TRS floor leader in Lok Sabha and Khammam MP Nama Nageshwar Rao always stood by the poor and was working for the welfare of the poor.

The MP, through the Nama Muthaiah Memorial Trust, set up in memory of his parents Muttaiah and Varalakshmi, is undertaking a number of service programs in the erstwhile Khammam district.

Nageshwar Rao also provided financial assistance to many poor students, sunk many wells for drinking water in various villages and organized health camps. Thousands of auto-rickshaw drivers and porters were given specially made khaki shirts, Venkateshwra Rao said.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and Working President KT Rama Rao, the MP was able to secure the release of Central funds and projects as a result of Telangana State. Former AMC President Chava Ramakrishna and others were present.
