Ushasi and Arjun in Aritra Sen’s next film | Bengali Movie News

Aritra Sen is busy with projects. While his film ‘Sohorer Ushnotomo Dine’ made it to the 28th Kolkata International Film Festival, the talented director has just wrapped up the London schedule of his upcoming film ‘Prantik’. The interesting part is that this has an ensemble cast of Parambrata Chatterjee, Ushasi Ray and Arjun Chakraborty. Kaushik Sen and Bidipta Chakraborty will also be seen in pivotal roles. While the London schedule is over, the Kolkata leg started recently and the shooting will continue till the end of December. Meanwhile, Aritra’s much-awaited musical ‘Ghore Pherar Gaan’ starring Parambrata and Ishaa Saha is also gearing up for release.

Although the Kolkata leg of ‘Prantik’ has already started the entire team is cautious not to leak any specific information about the shoot. The plot revolves around the game of football and how it affects the lives of the protagonists. However, according to the source who has closed the project, the story follows the journey of the character Arjun is playing in the film. We hear that Arjun may be seen as Ushasi’s brother and Ritwick Chakraborty may be seen opposite Ushasi. This is Arjun and Ushasi’s first film together. Earlier they worked together in a web series Byomkesh.

Although Aritra has worked with his old friend Parambrata, this is his project with Ushasi. For the uninitiated, the actor will be making his big screen debut opposite Ritwick Chakraborty in Rajdeep Ghosh’s thriller ‘Ayurekha’. The film also stars Kamaleswar Mukhopadhyay, Bonnie Sengupta and others in pivotal roles. Filming has already started.

Meanwhile, Aritra is also directing a web series titled ‘Matsanyay’, and Ishaa Saha and Arjun will team up after ‘Karnasubarner Guptodhon’. Arjun was last seen in Arindam Sil’s psychological thriller ‘Khela Jawkhon’ opposite Mimi Chakraborty.
