Veteran Telugu actor, producer, director Kaikala Satyanarayana passes away

Legendary Telugu actor Kaikala Satyanarayana passed away this morning at her residence in Hyderabad. He was 87 years old.

The death of actor `Sri Ranga Neethulu` who was also a producer, director and politician was condoled by several Tollywood personalities.

Actor Mahesh Babu took to Twitter to express his grief over the actor’s death. “Deeply saddened by #KaikalaSatyanarayana garu’s demise. I have very fond memories of working with him. He will be missed. My deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. May his soul rest in peace,” he wrote.


Considering the `Bangaru Kutumbam` actor’s contribution to the Telugu industry, Ram Charan wrote, “Very sad to hear of the demise of Kaikala Satyanarayana Garu.. His contribution to our film industry will be remembered forever!! May his soul rest in peace.”.

Chiranjeevi tweeted a long note in Telugu along with some pictures of himself with the “Nirdoshi” actor. He wrote “Rest in peace Navarasa Natana Sarvabhouma Sri Kaikala Satyanarayana garu”.

Meanwhile, the Governor of Andhra Pradesh, Biswa Bhusan Harichandan, expressed “deep grief” over the death of the “Raja Makutam” actor. Highlighting his achievements, Harichandan wrote, “I express my deep sorrow and grief over the death of Sri Kaikala Satyanarayana, Telugu film actor, producer, director and former Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha in Hyderabad on Friday. My condolences to the bereaved family members.”

In an illustrious career spanning six decades, Satyanarayana received numerous awards including the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award and two Nandi Awards. He is survived by his wife, son and two daughters.
