On December 9, Kannada Film Industry will deliver another Indian product Vijayanand. The biographical drama is based on the life of the very popular transport and media tycoon Vijay Sankeshwar and will release worldwide on December 9 in 5 different languages.
Citing the universal appeal of this inspiring real-life story, the team Vijayanand It has opted for wide UK cinema distribution by opening the film in 60 theaters in England, Scotland and other important regions. Vijayanand will release only in Kannada and Telugu in the UK, with the Telugu dubbed version getting a bigger release in terms of screen count.
Ahimsa Entertainment, the agency distributing Vijayanand in the UK, will release the Kannada version in 18 screens, while the Telugu version has 42 screens.
Vijayanand follows the journey of Vijay Sankeshwar, who started his logistics company VRL group with just one truck and over the years rose to such heights that he now has the largest fleet of commercial vehicles in India. He is also the founder of several leading Karnataka publications such as Vijaya Karnataka (later sold to Bennett, Coleman and Co. Ltd.), Vijaya Vani, etc. and also a popular television news program.
Spanning many decades, Vijayanand boasts a complete timeline of Vijay Sankeshwar’s journey to the top. Nihal Rajput stars in the film as he directs the film based on a script written by Rishika Sharma. The film is produced by Anand Sankeshwar (son of Vijay Sankeshwar) under the banner VRL Film Productions, Anant Nag, Bharath Bopanna, Siri Prahalad, Vinaya Prasad, Prakash Belawadi, V Ravichandran, Anish Kuruvilla, Ramesh Bhat, Dayal, Anant Nag, Bharath Bopanna , Siri Prahalad, V. Padmanabhan, Shine Shetty and Archana Kottige. Gopi Sundar C serves as the music composer while Keertan Poojary handles the cinematography.
