After being cleared by the National Green Tribunal (NGT), Karnataka’s minor irrigation department on Friday floated tenders worth Rs 2.53 crore to complete restoration of Chandapura and Muthanallur lakes in Karnataka’s Anekal taluk by clearing encroachments.

According to the department, the restoration work should be completed by mid-2023, before the onset of monsoon. The revenue department has been asked to conduct surveys of the lakes and dewater accordingly.
